Creating Naturally beautiful smiles that last a lifetime

Our unique approach to orthodontics goes beyond simply straightening your teeth; our philosophy is centered around improving your overall oral systemic health to create a beautiful, natural smile that fits you.

We focus on nature and natural processes to promote healthy oral systemic interaction. These processes are incorporated in all phases of diagnosis and treatment to produce a customized outcome that is second to none. One size does not fit all.

Our work is focused on creating and maintaining optimal relationship between form and function of the mouth-jaw system. The relational interactions of form and function are designed to build a naturally beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime.

In order to better understand our approach to orthodontics, it helps to keep these key principles in mind:

Principle #1: Not all straight teeth are healthy teeth!

Our approach is to critically evaluate the problems that exist in the entire mouth-jaw system, not just align teeth for a straight smile.

Principle #2: Your treatment plan must be customized to meet your specific needs.

Your growth and development must be critically assessed so that the most appropriate treatment is completed at the most appropriate time according to your biologic maturity – not based on a textbook chart. Starting treatments too early results in excess wear and tear on your teeth, muscles and bones, ultimately leading to poor outcomes.

Principle #3: Optimal health means all parts of the system working together in harmony.

Breathing affects swallowing and chewing and vice versa. If there is disharmony in one part of the system, other parts are adversely affected. We use jaw tracking devices and instrumentation to evaluate and improve the entire mouth-jaw system, returning a chaotic system to a system ordered by nature for optimal health.

Principle #4: Substance over style. Substance over smile.

The bedrock of our practice is building a plan around your specific needs, not what is popular or common practice today. We focus on the necessities that nature requires for the best result (optimal oral health) – aligning the teeth to the best fit of the system (breathing, swallowing and chewing).

Principle #5 Health, beauty, happiness – in that order

Not all beautiful smiles are healthy smiles. Healthy systems in nature are intrinsically ordered, which means that the communication between teeth, muscles and bones must be directed by proper tooth positions in order to correctly breathe, swallow, and chew.

Questions to Ask Before Choosing a Dental Professional:

Is the opinion you’re obtaining from a general dentist or a specialist? A general dentist has 4 years of training in dental school and possibly some continuing education courses in orthodontics. A specialist has 4 years of training in dental school with an additional 2-4 years of specialized residency training in orthodontics, which focuses on comprehensive orthodontic care.

Is your specialist board certified?

Dr. Conway is one of just 100 dentists in the country who is board certified by the ADA. Board certified specialists have taken additional testing, usually over several years, administered by a group of scholarly peers to establish their excellence in clinical expertise.

This man is the most intelligent man I've ever known. Complete genius. I give all my respect to this man for fixing my teeth. I was a patient of this man for over 6 years and it was the best decision I've made. If you ever need an orthodontist to do the job get Dr. Conway. He's professional, caring, and serious about his work. I myself, a Pre Dental student in college, strive to have even a fraction of this man's intelligence someday. Of all the doctors I've known, he's still the best!
